Job Title: Sound & Lighting Technician

Job Description
Claremorris Town Hall Theatre wishes to recruit a highly motivated, creative and enthusiastic Sound and Lighting Technician for our busy Theatre, Concert Hall, Arts Centre & Community facility.

The Sound and Lighting Technician will work 39 hours per week, and be prepared to work over evening, weekends and public holidays in accordance with our business needs under a fixed term contract.

Activities and responsibilities:

  • Operate sound and lighting equipment for events as necessary
  • Rig lights, data and sound equipment as required
  • Maintain a list of all equipment – note location and condition
  • Carry out light maintenance on the building and equipment
  • Lock and unlock the premises
  • Bring to The Manager’s attention any item needing repair or replacement in line with Health and Safety requirements and regulations
  • Set-up rooms for use 9i.e layout seating, tables, equipment, stages, curtains etc.)
  • Assist in the bar, cloakroom, ticket-office and other areas as necessary
  • Attend training as required
  • Attend events in the Theatre
  • Become part of a small, cohesive team that works well together to deliver excellence
  • Contribute ideas to improve activities and operations
  • Report to the Manager
  • Other general ad-hoc and technical duties as may be required
  • Minimal experience required as full training will be provided
