Based on the hit 1976 film starring Scott Baio and Jodi Foster, and featuring a jazz and swing score by the composer of The Muppet Movie, Bugsy Malone is a winning combination of catchy tunes and huge fun.
When Bugsy Malone, a broke one-time boxer, meets Blousey, a wannabe singer, all he wants to do is spend time with her, even as two rival Al Capone-style gangs turn 1920s Chicago into a battleground.
Dandy Dan’s gang has gotten the upper hand since obtaining “splurge” guns (weapons that shoot cream!), so Fat Sam and his bumbling buffoons are in real difficulty.
Bugsy resists the advances of Fat Sam’s girlfriend Tallulah, but he’s tempted into involvement in the gangs’ feud when Fat Sam offers him handsome financial compensation.
