Sister Act JR.
When lounge singer and diva extreme Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a crime, she’s hidden away in the one place nobody would think to look: a convent. But Deloris just can’t keep quiet. Before long she’s turned the convent’s struggling choir into a show-stopping sensation, lifting the whole community and discovering a family she never expected to find.
Packed with soaring songs, big laughs and even bigger heart, Sister Act JR. is fun for all the family and will be performed by our talented Junior Ensemble (6-12 years old).
Into the Woods JR.
After your popcorn break, our Senior Ensemble, aged 13-17 bring you Into the Woods JR. This Stephen Sondheim classic weaves together the fairy tales you thought you knew. Cinderella, Jack and his beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel all cross paths with a humble baker and his wife, who set off into the woods to break a witch’s curse and have their wish for a child granted. Everyone gets what they wished for – but will it make them happy?
With Sondheim’s trademark wit and musicality, it’s a showcase of everything Abú! does best: ambitious material delivered by young performers giving it their all.
