Mick Mulhern in concert with Special Guests

 

 

Join us for a great night of music on Friday, April 12th when Ballyvary country-singer Mick Mulhern returns to the Claremorris Town Hall Theatre with special guests Tony Allen (Foster & Allen) and Matt Keane with the Ryan Turner band. MC on the night is Michael Neary of Mid West Radio.

Mick Mulhern is one of the best known personalities in the country and has a beautiful voice. His debut album, “Stormy Horizons” was launched in 2017 to critical acclaim. The title track, along with “Roseville Fair” and “You Waltz So Softly Through My Mind” received huge airplay nationally. Mick is a great entertainer and has a great rapport with audiences and will bring his wit and humour along with his singing, to the show.

Tony Allen is a world-renowned musician who joined up with Mick Foster and “Foster & Allen” were formed. In their 40 year career, they have released over 30 albums, many of which entered the UK albums Chart. Along with “A Bunch of Thyme” (entering the Irish chart in 1979 and becoming their first No. 1 single), “Maggie” became a No. 1 in New Zealand for four weeks, making the two songs their signature tunes.

Joining Mick and Tony on stage is Matt Keane of the legendary Keane family from Caherlistrane, Galway. Matt is a vastly experienced entertainer well known to audiences all over the country.

House band on the night is The Ryan Turner band from Donegal. in 2012 they were crowned best Country Backing Band at the Ulster Country Music Awards. Along with touring around the country the band can be seen regularly on the Phil Mack International Country TV show, they have also been involved in the Phil Mack Irish tours, backing some of Ireland’s top entertainers.
